Make a Balaclava

During the cold seasons, in the winter, children often love to play outdoors and sometimes they might feel very cold. Beanies might not always do the work of protecting the child’s head and face totally and that’s where balaclavas come to play. The balaclava protects the child’s ears, face and head. This is also much more convenient to wear as it allows you wear a hoodie over unlike some beanies that might make it difficult due to their shape or excessive pom-poms on top.

Materials needed:

  • Fleece, 1/2 of a yard
  • Fold-Over Elastic, 1 yard (5/8 – 3/4 inch wide)
  • Paper Balaclava Pattern
