DIY Divided and Structured Fabric Basket

Hi friends. Check out this great fabric basket that ensures order and a clutter-free environment for you. This translates into more efficiency and effectiveness both in your personal and official life. This basket is specially divided and structured into segments whereby your items can be arranged into compartments. This ranges from toiletries to sunglasses and even light books. Materials needed:

  • 54″+ wide mid-weight canvas or similar in a solid color
  • 54”+ nylon rip stop or similar in a coordinating solid 
  • 1 yard of 20″+ fusible foam
  • ⅓ yard of 20″+ mid-weight fusible interfacing 
  • ½ yard of 1” wide cotton twill tape in a color to match the lining
  • 2 yards of 1½” wide cotton twill tape in the same color as the 1″ to match the lining
  • ONE sheet of plastic canvas or similar for the base insert
  • Sew-in Velcro 
  • All-purpose thread to match fabric and Velcro
  • See-through ruler
  • Fabric pen or pencil
  • Seam gauge
  • Seam ripper
  • Scissors or rotary cutter and mat
  • Iron and ironing board
  • Straight pins
  • Small hammer to set rivets
  • Heavy metal, stone or wooden block to use as a cutting and hammering surface
