Beautiful Baby Dress Coat

Hello friends! Ok, straight to business! Have you got that sweater that you never had chance to wear, maybe it was too small or maybe it just didn’t fit right? Stop, don’t throw it out. Let’s give it a new life! We are going to make a beautiful baby dress coat from that hanging or thrifted sweater. Just get a beautiful hat to complete the combo, yeah so your baby can be ready for the fall! Beautiful!

Materials needed:

  • dress bodice pattern
  • outer fabric: wool, bottom weight, fleece, corduroy
  • liner fabric
  • 8 buttons
  • a scrap of interfacing (optional)
  • 1 yard or so of twill tape
  • matching or coordinating thread
