DIY Parrot Costume

Oh la la, I saw this brilliant and colorful parrot costume and it was a challenge to see if I could get it right. I followed the steps in the tutorial and would you believe, I got it right down pat. I then knew I just had to share this tutorial with you guys. So friends, go through the tutorial and let's have fun making this parrot costume for that drama class and other fun times!

Materials needed:

  • Felt in parrot colors.
  • Fleece for the hat, 1/4 yard of red and scraps of white for the eyes and yellow for the beak.
  • 1 yard of 1/4″ elastic.
  • 1/2 yard 3/4″-1″ elastic OR ribbon ties OR safety pins to attach tail
  • Hot glue gun
  • 1.5″ googly eyes
  • Basic sewing supplies
