How to Make a Chicken Weight

Hey guys. Tired of having to pin your pattern pieces to your fabric before you cut it all the time?  Or you a frustrated with some materials that just won’t stay flat while you weed them? So why don't you make yourself some DIY pattern weights so you can be able to work much more faster! These chicken-themed pattern weights are super easy to make and very effective! Let me show you how to make some so you can enjoy your sewing a lot more! 

Materials needed:

  • cotton fabric 2 pieces of 4″ x 4″
  • red fleece for comb and lobe
  • yellow foam sheets for beak 
  • fabric scissors
  • craft scissors to cut the paper
  • ruler
  • fabric marker
  • rice, crushed walnuts or barley for filling
  • sewing machine
  • matching thread
