How to Sew a Pillow with Piping

Hello guys. Don't you love what throw pillows do for a room. Pillows can take a boring couch you’ve had for several years and make you a little less bored with it, or maybe even fall in like with it again! They can bring a trendy colour or pattern into an otherwise dated room. Throw pillows require very little commitment and you will not need to spend a lot on this as you will most likely have the basic materials at home. It's also a perfect project for a beginner so don't waste anymore time guys, the clocks ticking.

Materials needed:

  • Fabric cut to the size of your pillow form.
  • Cording the thickness of your choice and enough to go around your pillow
  • Bias tape in the color you want your piping to be. Your bias tape needs to be wide enough to wrap around your cording and still have about a ½ inch seam.
  • Thread in a matching color.
  • Pillow insert in the size of your choice
  • (Optional) zipper
