DIY Laminated Toiletries Case with Wraparound Zipper

Hi friends, make your own toiletry case with the help of this free tutorial. With this bag, you have your toiletries neatly in place and orderly and this reflects in other areas of life. This case is super protected because it not only has a zipper but it is also laminated, so it will last and last, maintaining its newness. This tutorial explains everything clearly, so just follow the instructions and make your own laminated zippered toiletry bag!

Materials needed:

  • ½ yard of 56″+ wide cotton laminate
  • ½ yard of 45″+ wide polyurethane laminate 
  • ONE 26” separating zipper in bright colors
  • 1 yard of 20” wide fusible foam
  • ¼ yard or scrap of lightweight fusible interfacing 
  • ONE package (four yards) of double-fold bias tape to match PUL
  • ONE package (2½ yards) of narrow piping to coordinate with the exterior laminate
  • All-purpose sewing thread in colors to match the fabric and zipper
  • Scissors or rotary cutter and mat
  • See-through ruler
  • Fabric pencil or pen
  • Straight pins or clips
  • Iron and ironing board
  • Pressing cloth
